NOW THAT I AM GRADUATING
Introduction:
I want to congratulate you on having gone this far:
the challenges, friends, exams, tests, promotion, failures, mistakes, celebrations, aapointment as prefects, it all seemed like eternity, it will never end, but here you are about to write your final papers, even that seem overwhelming but I want to tell you its going to end.
This is just how life is generally; everything will have a beginning and will have an end. The end will be determined by what you did in between. It does not matter how you start you can end very well if you do it right(how you continue & what you do till the end).
My Purpose
My main purpose of writing to you this time is to encourage you to finish very well; it applies to other areas and phases of life you will get to. It’s not enough to start well, it is how you finish.
I was once in your seemingly big shoes but here am I today sharing with & encouraging you to do your best to finish well. Someone said ”Life is in phases and men are in sizes”, this is one phase of your life that is ending, another one begins immediately you drop your pen.
My Admonition
1. Do all your best to pass your exams.
2. Settle it in your heart that you will make it. Deal with fear & anxiety
3. Be prayerful, but be responsible.
4. Make up your mind to say no to cheating.
5. Get enough rest before you go into the exam hall.
6. Be calm and read all instructions very well.
You will succeed
While I Wait for my Results
1. Rest rest rest.
2. Dream Dream Dream
3. Set life goals for yourself.
4. Get yourself busy doing things that will add to your life
Develop your skills, learn new ones, go to a computer school, develop your reading skills, do more research into your chosen career course & start making plans for higher institution.
5. Make yourself useful to your parents, siblings & your community. Don’t become a nuisance.
6. Don’t waste time. Grab any opportunity for admission that you get 1st while waiting for the other.
As you go into higher institution
1 .Make up your mind to be good. Hold on tight to your values. Remember your parents’ investments, school & your teachers and especially for yourself.
2. Exercise your power of choice rightly. Resist all temptations.
3. Never use your circumstance as an excuse for your wrong decisions/failures. There is a seed around you.
4. Have a dream of a new Nigeria and your part in the change. You never know you can be the next Goodluck Jonathan of your time.
Congratulations ones again and I wish you all the best
